Welcome to my web site, and thank you for making the effort to track me down in cyberspace.
I've loved to write since I was a child, but my life as a published novelist began in the 1990s in southeast Nebraska, after my husband and I moved our family to an acreage. I'm pretty sure we provided comic relief for more than one neighbor, because neither of us knew a thing about country living. Still, we loved it. We were home schooling the four children, and when it came time to study Nebraska history, I decided the pioneers laid to rest in a nearby abandoned cemetery would provide an excellent hands-on lesson. I had no expectation that would birth a second career, but that’s what happened. I began “playing with an imaginary friend.” Her name was Jesse King, and she was the heroine in what would become my first novel. That was nearly 30 books ago. I've continued to write stories, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. To learn more, just click on the "About" tab above.
My business card labels me "author/speaker/historian." History is integral to just about everything I do, be that volunteering at a local museum, reading "once upon a times" to my grandchildren, or writing. The "speaker" part of the monniker is an unexpected outgrowth of my writing life. For more information, click on "Need a speaker?" above.
Thank you for visiting today. "... may the Lord of peace himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance” (2 Thessalonians 3:16 NAS).
